rate_reviewCritical Reception
Das ist Kammermusik auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Der Britten gelingt ungemein farbig, Zinzadze ist großes Kino – in jedem Fall höchst charakteristisch.

library_musicAbout the Album

With ‘Collage’ we bring together tradition and the present. Our ensemble Ars ad mundum – Art for the World – was founded in 2024 based on the idea that the musical tradition stays alive when it keeps up with the times and finds new ways to express itself in contemporary sounds.

‘Collage’ brings together works by Mozart, Schumann, Britten and our contemporaries Zinzadze and Riemer: a duo for oboe and violin as well as oboe quartets in their original instrumentation and in arrangements for our ensemble. Different eras and styles thus come together, and the change in instrumentation creates timbres that open up new perspectives on the expression and on the form of a work.

In our ‘Collage’, the oboe and the strings merge into one single unit: four individualists engage in a lively dialogue. The oboe leaves its familiar role as an orchestral or solo instrument and becomes part of a performance full of warmth, nuances and surprising twists.
